SF-Fandom.com presents the Harry Potter & The Order of the PhoenixTM
Create a Trolley Treat Contest
NOTE:
- The contest will run from July 6, 2007 through July 20, 2007 at 11:59 pm CST.
- Prizes are being supplied by Warner Brothers Marketing, who may choose to change the number of prizes without notice.
The Rules
The idea is to Create a Trolley Treat! (see below for an example)- Only registered users of SF-Fandom.com will be permitted to participate. Registration is free.
- No SF-Fandom.com moderators or administrators may take part as a contestant, as several of them will act as judges.
- Entrants will email their SF-Fandom.com forum user name, a recipe, and a picture of their treat to hpcontest@sf-fandom.com.
- Names for treats with historical or mythical references such as "Circe's Cinnamon Pigs" or "Lot's Wife Salt Pillars" are preferred.
- Treats names will be judged according to how well they fit the reference. (See example of: Circe's Cinnamon Pigs below)
- Names for treats with wizard-world like properties will be judged based on how hard we laugh while judging.
- Treats must be edible. Treats may have non-edible parts for decoration or trading - for example, "Chocolate Frogs" which appear in the Harry Potter books and movies contain trading cards.
- Recipe must contain all instructions for creating the treat - that includes things such as "cut conical shape from cardboard" if necessary.
- Treats may contain pre-made foods but the completed treat must be an original treat. In other words, you can use something like a cinnamon bun as part of the treat but you can't just take a cinnamon bun, put eyes on it with raisins, and call it "Circe's Cinnamon Pig".
- The examples, mentioned in this announcement, cannot be used in the competition, and remain the property of the crazy person (moderator) who developed them. Treats that appear in the movies or books will not be considered for a prize.
- We do not expect you to test your entry AFTER you add the magic. We will not be responsible for any damage your entry may do in the development or testing stages.
- Winners will be announced July 28, 2007. With the announcement of the winners, recipes and pictures will be posted for forum members to view and enjoy with the SF-Fandom.com user name of the person who created the treat unless otherwise requested.
- If your entry wins, we will be contacting you prior to July 28, 2007 for your name and mailing address in order to send your prize.

Examples from the evil minds of your SF-Fandom.com moderator team: [What? You thought that we were nice people?]
None of the example titles below may be used as a submission, as we thought of them first!- "Lot's Wife Salt Pillars" look a lot like those sugar crystals on a stick. When you lick them, your whole body gets coated with a salty crust.
- "Whistling-Dixies" look a lot like hard candy whistle pops, but made of pecan paste (marzipan) and Sweet Tea. After eating, you whiz around the room emitting, in a high pitched whistle, the song 'Dixie'. [Imported to the Hogwarts Train Trolley from Flick-and-Swish, SC, USA]
- "Snap-Dragons" are dragons shaped out of marshmallow, coated with colored sugar and which, when the aluminum wrapper is pealed back, snap their teeth and shoot real flames, toasting themselves.
- "Steam-Trains" which are made of licorice, in the shape of a train. When you eat them, your ears smoke, and you emit a hoot like that of a steam train. [Not a valid submission, as a similar treat appears in one of the movies.]
- "Vanilla Pixies" which are made of fondant (a clay like icing), vanilla flavored, and try to hide under something when you take them out of the wrapper.
**** The following is a full example of a submission. ****
Recipe for "Circe Cinnamon Pigs" - Get a chocolate mold in the shape of a pig.
- Grind, to a powder, 12 cinnamon candy hearts using mortar & pestle
- Melt 12 white chocolate disk pieces (microwave high for 1 1/2 minutes). Stir. microwave 1/2 min)
- Stir in cinnamon powder
- Pour into chocolate mold (for two part mold, retain some chocolate mixture)
- For two part pigs: when pigs harden, re-melt the reserved chocolate mixture, use as paste to join pig halves.
- Package in clear plastic wrap.
- Add magic
Pig will walk around on its trotters (feet) until you break off a piece to eat. The pig oinks in Greek. [Reference to THE ODYSSEY by Homer.]
