Finding Earth-like planets is not as much about science fiction any more as it once was.
Australian scientists find Earth-like planet with a thin atmosphere, 5.5 times Earth mass, and it orbits its star once every 11 of our Earth/Solar years. The planet is about 20,000 light-years from Earth, near the center of the galaxy. It would most likely be bombarded with huge amounts of radiation sufficient to kill us. On the other hand, surface temperaturs are estimated to be around minus 225 degrees Celsius (a little cold for most life on Earth). For now, the planet has been named OGLE-2005-BLG-390Lb. Too bad they didn't call it "Trantor" after Isaac Asimov's capital world for his Galactic Empire series.

Official Terminator Movie Web site. Did you know there was an official Web site for this great movie? Well, now you do. Not that it's so wonderful, but most fans probably never think to look for an official Web site for a movie that predates the World Wide Web.
The Wizard of Oz Movie Official Web site. Yes, there is an official Web site for this great movie starring Judy Garland, Ray Bolger, Bert Lahr, and ... um ... what's his, the Tin Man guy....
Paris Hilton biography and pictures. How can you go wrong with Paris Hilton?
The Balrog of Moria has drawn the attention of some of the best scholars in Tolkien research.
