Kristy Swanson, the first Buffy, turns 40 today!

Looking over her work on her IMDb page, she's kept very busy over the years, doing various films and television shows.

Her most recent projects listed are "What If..." starring none other than Kevin Sorbo, and TNT's "The Closer," although I'm not sure if she's a regular or just had a guest spot.

That's not the Kyra Sedgewick series The Closer, but rather a 12-minute short film, co-starring Baywatch and Witchblade's David Chokachi (late of Confessions of a Teen Idol, and Bats: Human Harvest.)

But yep, she has kept busy, in between being a new wife and mom. As detailed in this thread, one of her highest-profile gigs recently (other than hooking up w/ her Skating W/ Clebrities co-star) was an ep of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, in which she played a thinly-disguised version of Anna Nicole Smith, and they used old Maxim and Playboy covers of Kristy herself to represent her character's former sexy image. It was a very bold move for her as an actress, since she's not out of shape...but she had just given birth about 4-6 weeks before filing the ep, and still had about 50 lbs. of maternity weight that she made a point not to lose until she did the role. That's some bravery!
