E! Online reports that Charlie (i.e. Dom Monaghan) will be back for three episodes, but of course, no word if they are:
- flashbacks - Charlie-as-ghost-appearing-to-Hurley - Charlie still alive in an alternate future/present - Charlie seemingly alive on the island like Locke and Jack's dad They also report here that Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell) will be back in some capacity, even though the actress is going to be a regular on the new V series. The implication is that we may just see her in the first ep, possibly as Juliet in a happier alternate life that resulted from the events of the season 5 finale. TV Guide also reports that Nestor Carbonell (Richard Alpert) will become an official regular this comeing season: Quote:
io9.com also quotes Ian Somerhalder at Comic-Con saying that Boone will be making some kind of appearance too, even though he too has a new series, the new Vampire Diaries series on the CW. Various videos from Comic-Con are here, although no one is giving anything away. The Hollywood Reporter quotes Damon and Carlton saying that various other people, like Jeremy Davies (Faraday) will be back too (Maggie Grace as Shannon is mentioned somewhere else too) and that the "gimmicks' of both time travel and flash forwards are done with, and they will be doing something, comparable to the "intense and surprising" feel of the first season. But absolutely NO casting/shooting rumors yet. Other than that someone in Hawaii noticed that the "Jughead" bomb tower structure from the 1950's is still standing, and normally, the location people dismantle stuff immediately, implying it will be used again.

Re: Season 6 - the LAST one! :( - gossip, rumors, news and spoilers
It may be wishful thinking on my part, but I found it interesting that the "R.I.P" video did not include Locke.

iesb.net has a huge interview with Ian Somerhalder, mainly about his new vampire series on the CW, but he confirms he will be back in some capacity on Lost as well.
Quote:
In other news, the altered timeline thing seems to be a storng possiblity, now that the title of the first episode has been revealed: LAX. Which is the common term for the Los Angeles airport. Although... the way it's punctuated seems to have a space: LA X. Hmmmmmm.......

Ausiello at TV Guide has a number of tidbits culled from interviews and just comments in passing on the red carpet and elsewhere from various cast members.
Jorge Garcia and Daniel Dae Kim both confirm that the bomb did indeed go off. Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) has been to Hawaii from some shooting. Garcia says Libby probably won't be back. Locals have spotted a number of the people we saw in the season 5 finale (Jack, Kate, Sayid, Miles, Sawyer, plus also Claire) shooting scenes on the island, near the temple set. There seems to be a big fight scene featuring some pirate-looking people. The 1st + 2nd eps (apparently a 2-hour-long premiere) is indeed called LAX. The 3rd ep is called What Kate Does. The 4th ep will be called The Substitute, and will be Locke-centric. There also seem to be some alt-timeline scenes, with Kate getting a very pregnant Claire to a hospital, presumably in LA. Ian Somerhalder definitely came back to shoot some scenes as Boone. My guess? There will be a similar set of scenes like in "Yesterday's Enterprise," where we have an altered timeline, but the "destined" people keep meeting anyway, and fate keeps happening the way it's supposed to. So perhaps Kate ends up delivering Claire's baby, Boone ends up dying accidentally, etc.

Damon, Carlton et al. were at an event this past weekend at the Paley Center in LA, and let slip all kinds of goodies:
- they're still debating exactly what to include and how prominent it should be in the finale. - Jack Bender is directing the finale, a 2-hour, movie-caliber ep. - Michael Emerson says we will see more of alt-teacher Ben, who has all of the same personality building blocks, but just assembeld in a different way. - we will learn much more about Jacob's search for "candidates." - Libby will be back! ![]() - the flash-sideways may or may not continue for long. - the identity of Jack's baby mama may or may not be revealed, as it may or may not even matter. Read the rest at SciFi Wire.
