Thread title says it all. In the remote chance that you're reading this but not familiar with Bruce's big-screen (sort of) directing debut, check out this thread and about a dozen others.

If you haven't seen it, it's worth a look. Especially if you're a Bruce Campbell fan. He plays a very comically self-depreciating version of himself, as you might expect.

Bumping up for tonight's premiere....

Look for Dark Horse Comics President/Publisher Mike Richardson near the end of the film. He appears near the end of the film, playing an executive, I believe they're sitting discussing the ending of the film.

Richardson was a producer on My Name is Bruce, along with several other projects that were related to DHC, including "The Mask," "Barb Wire," "Hellboy," "Aliens Vs. Predator," and "30 Days of Night."

Other classic "bits' - apart from other obvious references to Bruce's films ( like the kid observing that everyone likes Bubba Ho-tep, not just fans, Bruce saying he's not scared since he's made a movie in Bulgaria, the kid saying Assault on Dome 4 is one of the greatest films ever etc) - the two burly, graying town residents at the meeting who observe that they should have gotten either that Jake guy from Evil Dead 2 or the blacksmith from Army of Darkness... were in fact Dan Hicks and Tim Quill, the actors who played those roles!

Bruce's ex-wife Cheryl is indeed played by Ellen Sandweiss, who played his girlfriend Cheryl in the first Evil Dead. And Ted Raimi is everywhere, as everyone.

The line he uses about "are you married or happy?" he stole from Curly of the 3 Stooges, from "An Ache in Every Stake" when Curly shaves the ice.

I also noticed that Bruce calls his dog "Sam-n-Rob."

Loved the hot mom's line shooting down his advances: "Do you believe in reincarnation? 'cause it's not gonna happen in this lifetime."

Also loved him saying to the guy getting chomped by Guan-Di over the radio "Give it a rest, Shatner."

I caught the end of it, and it cracked me up. Bruce ought to be in movies. Seriously!! This guy ought to be doing films and TV.

He's got the chin for it!

This is really a great film . . . for fans. It stands on it's own as a silly, campy story about a washed-up B-movie actor, and is easily accessible. Don't let the inside jokes get to you. There's plenty of everything for everyone.

Syfy is rerunning this on Tues. May 4th at midnight. Great way to see Cinquo de Mayo in, with a margarita or Corona in one hand, and the remote in the other!
