Stephen Papps (Brogard), Danielle Cormack (Catherine the Great) in this week's Seeker

Once I again I saw Stephen Papps on screen, and had no idea it was him... although he did look awfully familiar throughout. Believe it or not, he bears more than a little facial resemblance to Michael Hurst - he just has no hair, and is about 7 inches taller. But here as is usually the case he was wearing a wig, and so didn't realize it was him until the credits.

This was the 5th episode of the new season of Legend of the Seeker - it was called "Wizard" (thus far all eps have 1-word titles) and featured Bruce Spence's older wizard character losing his memory, being turned youthful (and cocky) again, falling for a harlot, and using his powers for personal gain. Stephen played the owner of the brothel (he's just credited as "bartender," but appeared to be the guy in charge) and has several lines in several scenes, as the wizard Zed zaps all the brothel employees and customers into fancy courtier outfits and enlists them as his entourage.

Shota, the sorceress who is behind it all is played by veteran Ren Pics guest star Danielle Cormack, i.e. White Russian's mistress, who periodically turs up as a recurring character on this show.

This ep premiered past weekend, and depending on your local channel, may run Sunday afternoon or evening. And it will definitely be on WGN next weekend.
