I can't say for sure, but it's about 99% likely that it was low ratings that led to only two seasons of the show. I couldn't find anything about the second season, but they started out decent with the very first episode, then dropped very quickly to between a 6.0 and a 7.0, which is actually decent for Fox, but way low compared to somehting like "Friends" or "Survivor" or "American Idol," which 3-4 times that many viewers. Sadly, very very few sci-fi shows make it these days. :(

Re: Dark Angel

It wasn't so much the ratings as the politics that killed the show. I loved it (and we used to have a Dark Angel Forum here while the show was in production). But things just didn't work out.

Jessica Alba is, btw, fantastic in "Sin City", although her role is not nearly as large as they made it out to be in the promos.

Huh. Interesting. Just out of curiosity, what sort of politics? Do you mean Fox network politics, as far as which shows they wanted to push, and which they didn't?

Re: Dark Angel

Fox politics. You know...

"Hey, I have an idea. Let's cancel this brilliant, interesting, well-written show and replace it with stupid comedy that can piggy-back on our Sunday lineup in hopes of getting higher ratings. Now start drawing up a list of existing shows we can rip off."
