''Original 6'' should be Classic 6 since there were actually 4 original NHL teams, Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Wanderers, Ottawa Senators, and Toronto Arenas (the Quebec City Bulldogs were given a franchise but were disbanded in the 1st year and didn't play the 1st 2 years). The Original 4 started in 1917, Boston in 1924, and NY Rangers, Chicago Black Hawks, and Detroit Cougars (later the Red Wings) in 1926. So only 2 of the Classic 6 were actually original, the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Arenas, who changed their name to the St. Pat's in '19 and then finally to the Maple Leafs in '27. The Senators were disbanded in '34 and revived in '92. All this can be easily verified in any book or website that includes the history of these clubs.
