  Sad to hear. Fewer and fewer of the original Star Trek cast left. Her health had been in decline for some time, though. She shares a great legacy with her castmates, even if they did not, or still do not, see eye to eye all the time.

  She was 34 y.o. in 1967 when the 2nd season aired? I coulda sworn she was in her 20's. Lovely lady, on top of everything else.
  The closest thing Trek TOS boasted IMO to Princess Leia in the RotJ slave-girl gold bikini, was alternate-Uhura's rather brief uniform in the alternate "Mirror Mirror" universe!

  I don't think I did the math on her age, either. I would have assumed she was in her 20s in the TV show, as well.
