One of the most memorable song-and-dance sequences from musical film history (in Hollywood) is the Toymaker's Birthday Celebration for the Baron in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Dick Van Dyke and Sally Ann Howes pretended to be giant wind-up dolls that performed for the Baron (in what was a fantasy sequence).
My mother took me and my brother to see the movie when we were kids. And I watched it every time it came on television for years afterward. We didn't have VHS or YouTube or streaming videos in those days. All we had was a bit of warning from network promos and TV Guide magazine. You planned your evenings a week ahead to see these movies when they came on television.
Well, I grew up and moved on with life and was completely unaware of how many other people loved that song-and-dance routine. Over the years I've occasionally watched the clip on YouTube because it's been uploaded so many times. But I never realized that people had re-enacted the scene for school and local community shows throughout the years.
Tonight I found videos of some of those performances - all recorded years ago. Some of them are very well done. I'm surprised I've never seen anything like this in a cosplay at a science fiction and fantasy convention. It would be a show-stopping experience for audiences and hard to top for the performers.
Anyway, here are some of the best videos I've found thus far.

There are too many to include them all here. Some were (semi-)professional performances. Some were recorded so far away the sound isn't very good.
I hope people continue to enjoy these songs for many generations to come.
