Posted by Michael Martinez on May 28, 1997 at 18:52:35: In THE MAGESTONE we are told that events are occurring about 3 years after Kyllan, Kemoc, and Kaththea left Estcarp. In WARDING OF THE WITCH WORLD, we find that Kyllan and Dahaun have a son old enough to ride a horse and take out after the group Simon leads on a scouting mission, AND large enough to push Mereth's wheel chair around. I'm a bit disappointed in the discrepancy but it was not totally unexpected. No matter how good the collaborators are, they just aren't able to match the Witch World's stories closely enough. Of course, Ms. Norton herself may share in some of the error -- I don't know if she researches the books when she writes a new one, but there does seem to be more consistency when she writes the story than when someone else does most of the writing.
