How about a combination

"Condition, Condition, Condition" and "Now that I've got it, what do I have?"

I'll rough draft out the two articles & toss a coin if they both get long enough. Otherwise I'll combine the two into some clever title like "To buy or not to buy"

I like the idea of helping you determine if: 1) you are holding a first edition. 2) if it is in poor condition, should you buy it, or wait for a better copy.

This would combine, something that I've just touched on: Why I own an X-library copy of THE PRINCE COMMANDS, and why I own a Good condition copy of RALESTONE LUCK. With How can you tell if that paperback is really the first edition.

[I remember a book dealer telling me that the paper edition I was holding was only a second edition, by a different publisher, and that they had sold the first edition yesterday. Actually the copy I was holding WAS the first paper edition, and LUCKILY, they had sold that other edition to me. This was for an Anne McCaffrey Book.]

I could also make a listing of the 'points' that determine the first edition of a book, and get Maciej to publish them. If you all are interested?
