: A book dealer claimed, a few months ago, that the Robert Hale-published edition of The Sioux Spaceman was the scarcest Norton due to a small print run done almost exclusively for libraries. Don't know. Only seen one at Andre's house. Of course Were Wrath and Serpent's Tooth also fall in the small print run category as does the hardcover of Grandmaster's Choice(Don't fuss, I know the last one is not purely a Norton) Later--Paul

I don't know about the Hale edition of SIOUX SPACEMAN. In 1995, I paid $189 for that 1976, UK edition Inscribed by Andre Norton to Robert Bloch.

WERE WRATH, SERPENT'S TOOTH, and GRAND MASTER'S CHOICE all fall into the category of small press runs. There are intended to be very small runs. However the reason that the prices are so wide, is mostly the original price and the binding. WERE WRATH has got fancy bindings, SERPENT'S TOOTH is a paperback, and GRAND MASTER'S CHOICE has two hard cover editions, one of which was boxed and signed (later TOR paper edition).

Since GRAND MASTER'S CHOICE first appeared at a WorldCon, you can bet that I dragged it arround looking for signatures. I was lucky enough to get Dr. Asimov's signature in there, but I guess that A.C.Clark will be almost as impossible as Bloch & Heinlein.
