: I went back and looked at the book again and have to agree with you. In fact, I don't know that there are any "grimy industrial cities" in Cornwall. I think I just jumped to the conclusion, based on the other Cornish references, that this was in Cornwall. I may also have been influenced by the very odd short story, Tall Dames Walking, in which Jorge Petronius (great name) is definitely in Cornwall.I always thought WITCH WORLD started out in Cornwall, too. My favorite is THE YEAR OF THE UNICORN, however. I don't think any of the others achieved the same rich sense of power and mystery that this book did. WARLOCK OF THE WITCH WORLD would follow closely on UNICORN for me. Michael
