: Dear Hank and Gordon
: Very interesting item from Gordon about ON THIS CONTINENT. I missed this comment from Gordon as well. With regards to Cleveland, the following appears in the introduction to Roger Schlobin's bibliography of Andre Norton:
: Ms. Norton's writing career began while she was
: attending Collingswood High School in Cleveland,
: Ohio.
: I am sure we all hope our benefactor Michael Martinez has made a full recovery from his travels and I hope that the "lurkers" who read this site will make themselves known.
: Richard

Glad to have been able to have contributed something on my first or second visit to the site.

I am not very familiar with U.S. geography, being from Canada, so I was just guessing about the eastern seaboard. I was thinking it had to be a very old, industrial city from the description. From the reference to the "late seventeenth century farmhouse" I thought the west coast was probably eliminated (or were there farms on the west coast of the U.S. at that time period?).

I was worried somewhat about posting a follow-up to a message so far down the board, and was planning to re-post it when I came across your comments. I too would like to see a better way of having new messages stand out. My previously read messages also reset themselves to blue, but it doesn't take anywhere near a month. It seems they change back every time I log on to the board! I am relatively new to the net, and to Netscape, so I can't offer anything on a fix.

Gordon
