: The Witches of Estcarp wear stones of power. Some appear to be
: clear stones that glow when the power is awakened and some are
: mentioned as being cloudy only becoming clear with the light of power.
: In the tale of the Stone of Kennoch a shard of power is described
: as milky or agate like. Are the stones semi-precious such as
: the lapis or clear gems such as topaz, etc. Asking because
: there seems to be a confusion (maybe in my own memory) as to
: which are the true stones of power.

Well, just to make things REALLY murky, don't forget that some artifacts are
made of quan-iron, which glows when used. I think Kerovan's bracelet, which
was sort of half-alive, was made of quan-iron.

Maybe the stones are a sort of amber, though. I think amber has some significance
with respect to power in Witch World. It's been a while since I've read "Amber out
of Quayth" but the bad guy definitely wanted real amber for some reason having to do
with using Power.

Sorry -- not performing at my best today.
