: : Second, it took me a long time to notice this follow-up. It was nested in a thread about five screens down on the message board. This seems to me to be a problem with the structure of this board (at least as it appears on my machine). I'd rather have things show up in straight chronological order so I could easily tell what I had and hadn't read. When I read a posting, it turns from blue to red on my screen, but then seems to reset to blue after a month. : : Is there someway I can change my netscape preferences to change this or is there some easy fix that Michael can make? : Unfortunately, there is no way to change your netscape. I might be able to change the script which produces the HTML file that makes : up this page, but I'm reluctant to do that right now. I'll try to experiment with some script changes on a test site in the next : couple of weeks to see what happens. : Michael This is misleading...you can change your netscape preferences to control how long before a link expires (i.e. turns back to blue to indicate an unfollowed link). I'm using version 3.0 and under the Options:General Preferences item, in the Appearance tab, the middle block on the left side allows you to change how long before links expire. Also, in the Color tab, you can change what colors are used for followed and unfollowed links. Unless I am misunderstanding, this should allow you to make the requested changes.
