I'm on Amazon's mailing list and I tend to just file their notices away. :) : I just finished reading the new Andre Norton & Sherwood Smith book A Mind for Trade. Really quite a disappointment for me as it is almost totally lacking in Andre's wonderful descriptive talents. In addition, it is written from the viewpoint of many individuals and lacks coherance. It is supposed to be an example of her new "hard edge" writing but I failed to find it attractive. It is a new title in the Solar Queen series published by Tor @ list price of $21.95 Hm. If you dislike it that much, I doubt Andre had much to do with it. I would have preferred they'd kept Pauline Griffin on that seires. She writes very well and does a great job of approximating Andre's style.
