Michael has covered most of the good Children's Andre Norton,
especially if you add the STAR KA'ATS books.

I also suggest looking in your local book store. ESPECIALLY in the paper backs.
My favorite - is MOOG MOOG SPACE BARBER (brain like rusty screen - author name at home on the book)
I would look at both the oversize and Trade size books.
A seven year old, usually likes pictures. There are few Andre Norton books that are picture books
Unfortunately those are sadly dated. [Rogue Reynard]
Other authors that I like include Bruce Coville - who writes in the voice of a 10-12 year old
