: OK, so I missed a few. I was relying on my memory (at the end of a marathon to finish the 1994 Bibliography) and several other sources. BUT notice I said protagonists!!

: PS: Notice I listed the ONE place where there is an extra 'n' since I don't belive it appears in any of the other books that way. It is probably a editors deviation.

: : : ZACATHANS as PROTAGONISTS
: : : Brother to Shadows, A204
: : : Dare to Go A-Hunting, A185 [Zacanthan]
: : : Star Rangers, A16
: : : Uncharted Stars, A78

: As for these others, you could be correct, I'll have to re-read

: : : ZACATHANS as Characters
: : : Lord of Thunder, A48
: : : Ordeal in Otherwhere, A54
: : : Forerunner Foray, A99
: : : DERELICT FOR TRADE, A228
: : : Forerunner, A145
: : : Forerunner: The Second Venture, A160
: : : The Zero Stone, A73
: : : Uncharted Stars, A78

Actually, I mentioned these as "characters or mentioned" for a reason: in A48, a Zacathan embassy member is mentioned as a fellow diner in the cafe; in A54, Zacathan is given as one of the Five Tongues known by educated persons; in A99, Ris Lantee states that he is associated with a Zacathan archaeological expedition; in A228, Zacathan colonies are mentioned; Thom's Zacathan boss is mentioned in A145 and appears in A160; Zacathan knowledge is mentioned in A73 and one Zacathan appears as a major supporting character and another in a very unusual minor supporting role in A78.

I'm not trying to suggest that there is no reason for you to re-read the books -- one doesn't need a reason to re-read Norton. This is all off the top of my head and my memory may be incorrect (not to mention that most of my "friends" say that I spend too much time off my head to have a reliable memory -- they're jealous of my sense of the absurd), but rather to show you where I was starting from when I asked my question. I only recall the one place where it is spelled "Zacanthan" as well: the subject interests me more as a matter of etymology than one of editorial accuracy.

Respectfully,

Michael B. Caffrey
