: As for classifying Star Gate with the Witch World line, I must admit that it is an interesting approach, and one that never occurred to me (nor, I suspect, to Maureen when she was putting her timeline together). Before I would be willing to comment further, I should like to know your reasoning for the association -- I have a suspicion of what it might be, but I hate to make unsubstantiated presumptions about other people's thought processes. I have to make too many unsubstantiatable presumptions about my own to be willing to take such liberties.:: I put it with 'Witch World' due to the names/language used, which seemed to me to be closer to that series than to the main line. I seem to remember, also, reading a story of people ariving in/on what I believed to be 'Witch World' that seemed to refer to the situations from 'Star Gate'. Granted, this does leave some degree of timeline confusion, but, given her acceptance of time travel in the majority of her works, it is a possiblilty. I'd be willing to listen to arguments otherwise, but, to me it just fits there. I was able to access Maureen's timeline, and found it interesting. I also didn't realize Ms Norton had so many historical novels out. I'll have to start looking them up. I do have another question, though. I only read 'Brother To Shadows' in a library copy. (Funds have been short lately, and imagine, the family actually wants to eat!) But wasn't there a brief reference to the Solar Queen in there? I need to reread that one. Lynx
