All of us posting or lurking here know that Andre is female and I suppose most of us know why she chose an androgynous name when she began writing books, but I still find it humourous how well it still works. About three years ago, I had some science fiction specialist dealer say, "Oh yes, I'm very familiar with his work. Just today I received an email where a bookdealer wrote:"I had heard the rumor that Andre Norton was a woman."Has anyone else a funny tale to relate along these lines???
