: I'm glad to find this page. I read my first Andre Norton when I was 7 years old. (Ace pkb 2250 AD. I still have it.) My parents were remodeling the upstairs at the time and I spent the rest of the night huddled under a scatchy wool blanket on the living room sofa staring at the gaping hole in the ceiling and chanting "There are no such things as rat things.": Imagine my utter delight when I realized several years later that books were writen by authors and that authors wrote more than one book. I've been reading her ever since. About 36 years now. Debbie: I have to envy you for both the length of your "relationship" with Ms. Norton and the many joys she has brought you throughout the years. Although I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit it, with as many years as you "invested" in appreciating books, I am a more recent discoverer of Ms. Norton's vast works. Nonetheless, I am enthusiastically reading my way to familiarity! This is a wonderful group of people with whom to share your experiences, thoughts, analyses and all sorts of things. We, at the Andre Norton Message Board, welcome your visit and hope you'll continue to stop by frequently. Pat Upton
