: :cover art from one of the good, well established, pro artists in a 400 mile radius from here.

: Remember this is the electronic age. I only did one, in person, visit to Boston, MA while doing my bibliography. Most everything else went 3 day mail for hard copy editing, or E-mail. Also remember that Andre Norton is, in my humble opinion, one of the best editors in the business. You'll want her to read anything going out.

The 400 mile limit is mainly to narrow down all the great possibilities. Andre is about 224 miles from me in Atlanta, where I'm moved/moving to. (Decatur actually.)

: Several of my favorite artists live in commuting distance of Atlanta. Here is one artist that lives near Orlando; Ron Walotsky. I've got his address somewhere around here. He did the Sneeze on Sunday cover. [Don Maitz is also in FL] Memory failes me for other names.

Val Lakey Lindahn for an expensive pro or Debbie Hughes; several "convention sales only" artists for cheap. Don is probably over 400 miles away, along with his wife, but ... I've met and like them and their work.

: I do recommend P.M. (Pauline) Griffin to write the book. She's worked with Andre before and , though she doesn't live near Atlanta, will be attending Galacticon, April 16-18 in Chattanooga.

I'm FROM Chattanooga and typing this from my house, there, which hasn't sold yet. I *hope* to make Galacticon and meeting Pauline is one reason. The place will be DRIPPING talent.

: A.C.(Anne) Crispin lives in Maryland. Is that close enough? (I failed those geography courses.) But all of Andre's co-authors have made the pilgrimage to TN while writing books with The Lady (except perhaps Lyn McConchie, she's in New Zealand). I wonder if Eluki bes Shahar (AKA Rosemary Edghill) would be interested? She has written several Romance novels.

Anne is outside the limit and has lots more stuff to do than this project . OTOH, if SHE comes after me, we'll see what she charges. I don't know Lyn. I know or have met Anne and Rosemary. I'd really like someone who's NOT published yet, but just short of it, or just barely got something into print. All your choices are great but they make real cash from writing.

: You should probably contact Jerrie Adkins on Atlanta area stuff. Also (cheap plug) Jerrie does typing & editing as well general gophering.

Jerrie is in South, sorta, GA, not Atlanta, but not really far. I just talked to her this past weekend at GA Filk Con. Oh yeah ... when I need something, I suspect I could get her to work cheap ... for credit and books. Not to mention you....
