: I have a book of "BOOK" cartoons (mostly from the New Yorker). : There is a rather richly dressed couple, in what is probably ganster garb looking at an empty apartment. All of the walls are covered with book shelves. The woman askes "What kind of crazy people lived here?": My house is filled with book cases - not built in's, though a big selling point for the house was the den with a 10 foot wall of shelves. (Somewhere behind those books is a window.) : When Andre Norton was selling her house in Florida, the real estate agent suggested that she remove all of the book shelves, and paint over the walls. A house with that many shelves could not be sold. : I took pictures of the current books in Andre Norton's Tennesee home. When Maciej gets home for his month break in school, he will try to find time to scan the pictures in & put them on his web site. These pictures are of the book shelves in the "office", not the books in bedroom, back porch & library. : As for my collection.....It's OK....And for any of you with evil intent: I keep attack dragons. :Paul here. I prefer attack basilisks. They eat less than dragons, make less of a mess upon attack, and provide sellable "it's so lifelike" statuary. Your comments on shelving bring back memories. Years ago the LADY was giving me the grand tour of her Florida home. When we reached the bedroom, which was filled with floor-to-ceiling bookcases, she said with a very loud sigh,"-AND These are the ones I havn't got around to reading yet!"
