While upgading your collection, remember that quite a few of
the first editions were softcover (especially the witch world
books). If my memory serves me correctly, all of the hardcover firsts had dustjackets except for "Baleful Beasts and Eerie Creatures". The books that you have where the boards have illustrations, were the library bindings, where the illustrated boards duplicated the the dust jacket designs. Quite a few of the
softcover firsts were later printed by Gregg Press in hardcover.
