Colorful jackets would look so much nicer on my shelf.A point you may want to consider: my rare book dealing friends generally say that a hardbound book missing the dust jacket/wrapper/cover/whatever is only worth 90% of what it otherwise would sell for. One with a good facsimile cover -- properly marked as such -- is worth 70% of what it otherwise would sell for. The cost of the repro. cover alone may, therefore, be worth it ... or maybe not. If I were a collector, I'd get them anyway, just because they look "right."
