STAR GATE (1958) to the best of my memory, is the first sf novel to deal with the alternate histories of another world. : I cannot remember an earlier one. Does anyone else? : --Rick Brooks No I can't right off hand, but her latest, The Shadow of Albion is one of the best and most extensive jobs of delving into an alternate history that I have seen.
