The Silent One by Andre Norton first appeared in Pulphouse #1 and was the cover story. The only way i knew it had made it into bookform was by stumbling into a trade paperback first edition of edited work entitled Chilled to the Bone Fifteen Tales of Terror and Dark Fantasy by Andre Norton, Charles De Lint, Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens and others Edited by Robert T. Garcia. isbn # 0-923763-44-9 (pbbk). My "chilling" discovery is there is a HARDBACK of this not listed in the Norton bibliography. The copyright page says First Edition 1991 and has a full number string but above that is the paperback isbn # as listed above. However the jacket cover has a $20.00 price and a different isbn # of:
0-923763-51-1. Naturally i was pleased to acquire a copy.
