Well.... Nonexistant in our world. In my opinion, the UK title refered to something slightly different (lost civilization on one island). It's a "sorta fantasy and sorta not." She set the thing in an "area no one knows about," only, a few years later, there were no such "fuzzy places on the map" (of the Phillipines, actually, IIRC). So the book is in worse of a limbo than just being YA by an SF author.
