I was wondering whether my two oldest Andre Norton books might not be first editions, and figure someone here will know for sure. The Sword Is Drawn. Red-orange cloth boards with black lettering. Sword-and-flame endpapers. Title page has "1944 / Houghton Mifflin Company / The Riverside Press Cambridge" at bottom. Verso has copyright statement and states publisher at bottom -- no other printing info. (Worn ex-lib. w/o dj. I've had this forever and have no idea whence it came.) Rogue Reynard. Tan cloth boards with gothic lettering and Reynard's head in dark red. Picture of the assembled court on dark green endpapers. Title page has "Houghton Mifflin Company Boston / The Riverside Press Cambridge / 1947" at bottom. Verso has dedication and copyright statement -- again, no other printing info. (Not ex-lib.; no dj but otherwise a nice copy. Something under $40 off eBay.) Thanks much. - Tom
