1934 Cleveland Press newspaper article mentions the Lady sending off to her publisher a story called "Time Snaps" which from the description has to be an early version of Operation Time Search"Well, so much for my next trivia question. You are absolutely right, Operation Time Search was originally written in the 30's and would have been probably/possibly the first Andre Norton book published, again substantiating the fact that the interest in science fiction/fantasy writing has been there since the inception of her career, however the practical demands of getting published at that time, resulted in historical adventure novels appearing first. A similar teaser about forthcoming science fiction/fantasy work is People of the Crater being advertised in the back of Marvel Tales # 5 as forthcoming in # 6. that was in 1935 and the tale lay in William Crawford's files until Fantasy Book Vol.1 was published in 1947.
