: I understand that The Lady has so much demand on her time that she cannot keep her bibliographers up to date personally when something she has written is due to be printed and that she may not even know that it is so scheduled...but don't publishers get back to The Lady's agent or other representative to let her/them know that something is coming out? More often than not, they don't. Authors complain of this and agents positively foam at the mouth . On articles, which are often based on interviews conducted by 3rd parties, and "letters to the editor," it's obviously even worse, with the agent not anywhere near "the loop."And shouldn't the agent or a publicist then let the writer's I don't think there's a publicist. Most authors have none or do their own. reading public know what's out there to be read? Sems to me that fan clubs and message boards like this one should be one of the first such groups to be told. Yes, thanks for the vigilance and the tip, but I hate having to depend on same...we might miss out on something good! Boards like this are often the best bet short of watching for "known items" ones self. If you spot any, post it here first!
