: I believe that with "ship from our world" Jim Devlin is referring to "Port of Dead Ships", the half of "Storms of Victory" that is written by Andre Norton. >>Thanks, that is the one I meant--I really should have looked it up before posting. : And I think the trilogy he speaks of is "Secrets of Witch World", comprising "Magestone", "Key of the Keplian" and "Warding". >> Thanks again. I wish some book club had put the first two in a single volume to set beside WARDING. Of course, I already have the Gregg Press hardcovers. Nor has ZARSTHOR'S BANE ever appeared in any hardback, as far as I know. Irene's description of how WARDING came to be explains the problem (for me): instead of another author writing from Norton's outline, the book seems to have been written by Norton from other people's outlines! I don't know that every character ever created for this "world" had to be in the book, but I expected more of a climax, and felt let down.
