: Hey. I LIKED the "Starship Troopers" movie. Verhoeven was up against the same kind of problems a lot of film-makers have to deal with when adapting SF to the big screen.Actually my complaint was their using a fort without a roof even though the enemy had flight. That hasn't been a successful tactic since the Indian Wars 1890 or so. Powered suits - didn't the Judge Dread movie have a powered suit? Didn't superman Fly? Enough on that......now about Witch World : But if Simon doesn't marry Jaelithe.... Actually the Producers would be smartest to use the same process that the authors of TALES OF THE WITCH WORLD short stories do. Perhaps take a different part of the world, and build a series, OR every week place the story in a different part of the world. Then as long as they didn't step on any major WW plot lines, they could do almost any fantasy or science fiction (remember the gates to other worlds) by pulling in Witches, Adepts, Half-breeds (shape shifters, and Keplians and mer-people - oh my) and magical talismans & keys.
