And did you see the movie _Virus_ w/ Jamie Lee Curtis?
In that one, an electronic lifeform (don't know that
you'd call it a virus) inhabiting a plasma cloud hits a
satellite in the middle of a download and gets sucked down
into the russian (spy?) ship that was doing the download.
Of course Our Heroine and her trusty helpers have to destroy
it before it transfers to another ship and eventually takes
over the world.

I had technical issues with it, but if you can suspend your
disbelief, it's a pretty good show.

I agree. Luckily we've had better for several decades
now. And Linux is coming along nicely.
