Okay. I've been reading about how vastly different the film is from the book, but I still love the film very much. It remains a childhood favorite of mine, as I saw all the time on TV growing up in the 80s. I just watched it for the first time on video yesterday, and I think I love it even more now then back then. I didn't care much for #2, but I just saw #3 today. While it was certainly low-budget (and it showed in a few scenes, especially the climax), I liked the fact that the filmmakers at least had the decency to pay respect to the original by bringing back Seth and Tal, and making references to past events (i.e. Dar's vanquishing of Maex, being branded with the mark of the beast, etc.)So does anybody like at the least the first film, even though it's different from the novel?
