Seriously, folks, once you get past the fact that this is NOT Andre Norton's "Beastmaster" and are able to accept the film for itself, it's still cheesy/camp/cheap/fun. OK, it's horrible that the tiger died and we all wish it didn't happen...still, thanks to Andre for the very idea of this type of communication between man and animal.

As for the sequels, probably the less said, the better. The fight scenes were especially poorly done...TERRIBLE choreography! But there was that one funny bit in the 2nd film when they drove past the theater that was featuring this movie.
