: Well, this is my first effort at starting a thread on this page, so I'll go with what I feel to be the obvious question for a pop-culture victim. Many films have been made "based" on HPL stories. However, few are worthy of the title "Lovecraftian." Has anyone seen a worthy film? I've heard that there is an independant version of "The Music of Erich Zann" that is quite faithful. Otherwise I'll just have to satisfy myself with the gender-bent version of "Cool Air" which was on Night Gallery. Although their "Pickman's Model" wasn't too bad either. (IMHO)

David C. Smith produced an 8mm, black & white, version of "The Whisperer in Darkness" back in the late 70's. The lead was played by Lovecraft correspondent J. Vernon Shea.
