Tolkien must've known a conniving, rascally miller at some time in his life. :-) LOL! On the serious side, do any of you have some other character similarities that transcend more than one Tolkien work? I believe there are many, at least superficially. : -Buzz- I don't remember a miller in the Hobbit. I liked the names for the lawyers. Burrowes, Burrouwes, and Grubb. Not quit as obvious as Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe. A lot of the elves seem alike to me. They are always so lofty and noble.
