This is a list of Maiar and followers of Aulė that in one way or the other disobeid and/or fought the Valar.

For me it is much of a coincidence that Aulė and companion "like" to rebel. The Noldor and the exile and Feanor“s oath, Sauron needs no explanation, Saruman turned to darkness too, the Dwarves... well, the Balrogs or some of them were possibly maiar of Aulė (the Demons of Fire/earth, the element of Aulė), and Aulė himself crating the dwarves.

should that be called Aulė“s Darkness Disease, or is it just a coincidence?
