A movie of the Hobbit is a good idea, at least a better one than the LotR. The Hobbit in most senses is less serious and more childlike than the LotR, so therefore it is easier to make a movie. Plus I know some people that find it difficult to get into the Hobbit, whom I'm sure would love the Lord of the Rings. Thus it would make the Lord of the Rings more accesible to others. A Lord of the Rings movie is also easier to mess up. I mean with all the characters and action at least three of four movies are necessary. A Lord of the Rings done by a true Tolkien fan who cared not about money, but about authenticity would be fine. I mean, when I watched the cartoon version of the LotR I couldn't keep quiet. When Legolas came to Aragorn and the Hobbit's aide at the Ford of Bruinen, was a horrible thing to do. Skipping Tom Bombadil, one of the most interesting characters in Arda, was terrible too. Numbers of other flaws angered me. Whar I'm saying is that sticking to the storyline most be done strictly and orthodoxly.

P.S. I'll say it one more time. If Bombadil is in a LotR than Robin Williams must play him.
