DIE, LEO, DIE!!!: If Ford or Pitt or Costner or any big-time American movie star were involved with this film, I would boycott it, and urge everyone I know to do the same! : Personally, I think Connery would be horrible as Gandalf. He tends to play himself, rather than the role. : I also think the entire Bombadil chapter might be cut out altogether. I really don't know who the big names would be. The special effects will cost so much that the payroll for the actors will probably be very small. Might have to go with lots of no names. If they intend to use people from the former empire they might be able to get Dalton. Wouldn't mind seeing Jeremy Irons playing a major character. I agree 100% with the Dicaprio input. It would detract from the movie. I also hope that the movie is not dominated by special effects, but I doubt they will. Will the movie be released in the millenium? What is the timeline.
