Next time you listen to it try to picture an American or any other accent playing some of the parts. It would just not work. :
: TreeBeard.............. Excellent point! It just seems to work! The BBC adaptation did a wonderful job in all respects; I really think Jackson should listen to it and glean ideas from it. Incidentally, the BBC production is available on CD through the British Tolkien Society. They are fantastic, and well worth the price. I pop them into my car's cd player on long road trips...
