I'm the one who originally complained about Jackson's use of the plural "dwarfs" instead of "dwarves." My opinion was apparently controversial; I wasn't expecting so much flame. Understandably, a lot of people thought I was nit-picking. Nevertheless, an encouraging number of readers supported my contention that slip-ups like this are not trivial when you're talking about adapting Tolkien.
