: : : Who says that the movies have a two hour max time slot? I say turn all three into epics (costly, but it will honor the extensiveness of the story). I can sit through nine hours of a coherent, competently produced Tolkien movie trilogy.: Heck I could sit through *18 HOURS*. But Jackson says he's planning on 6 hours total running time, 2 hours per film. I wouldn't expect too much deviation from that...but that's the company line at the moment. Holy Cow! 3 epics! Excellent! At that rate very little will have to be cut. I would hate to lose any parts. I pity all those involved. I believe making the epics will be a no win scenario; most of us will be upset about some interpretations made. But I really don't care, as somebody said in another thread the Rankin and Bass movies did not ruin the books for me. In fact they made me go back and read them over! Thanks for the word about the movie lengths! Best news I have heard all day! Kevin
