I read the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings when I was 10 and have read the the Lord of the Rings 9 or 10 times since then and the Hobbit 5 or 6 times. I'd like to say though, and I believe Tolkien held the same belief, that 10 years old was way to early for the Lord of the Rings. I missed things and didn't enjoy it as much as I would have if I'd waited a few years.: Jon Well, it is well-worth another re-re-reread
