(Ahhhh, he hummed, its good to be back!)Well it seems I'm one of the 'older' persons who frequent this message board. I'm 26 (27 in 5 months (weep, moan!) and I was first introduced to Tolkien when my father read The Hobbit to myself and my older brother when I was six. I reda the book at about nine and moved on to the LotR's almost immediately, though I am sure that, that was a huge mistake having been far, far to young to appreciate the full glory of the story. Since then I have re-read LotR about a dozen times, and I have listened to the BBC radio version numerous times. Also as a side issue I regularly role-play with a number of friends, both as a player and a gamesmaster, in Middle Earth, from the First through to the Fourth Ages, trying to capture more of the essence of ME, though I am sure we have never reproduced the true spirit of the books! Oh well see ya soon! Padster
