: I am curious, how many of you are roleplayers?- I am, I started back in '86 as one of the first Danes in Denmark to do so but I stumbled over ICE's Rangers of the North and bought it as a sort of supplement to my books. Subsequently I discovered that it was some sort of game, and went and bought the rules which I taught myself (at the same time as I taught myself more English than the 9th grade public school level- in Denmark- I had, back then I was a carpenter apprentice). Anyway, that is my road to roleplaying, have you travelled one?

Roll Playing games aren't what they are cracked up to be. Too often their emphasis is on violence, power, and control, doing anything it takes to win regardless of the morality and assuming the personality of evil characters. There is a story about a boy who committed suicide because he couldn't kill his best friend when his character died in a game.
