: accents (among other things).As an American I agree with you, but if they're going to put an American accent in the film, then crud, just make them ALL sound American so we can get over the initial shock at the beginning of the movie. It works for Xena and Hercules. :) (Except when you hear them say, "Xener" instead of "Xena".)
